There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yetfn no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:1,11 (NIV)
I can often rush the seasons of my life, not realizing the precious time in each. Does this sound familiar? Its easy to get off balance and not embrace the season God has us in now!
As busy moms, it’s natural to anticipate the next season of parenting. Common words of a mom are, “once my child is potty trained then I will …, once my kids go to school, once the kids are gone… I have been guilty of reciting these exact words and now that parenting my children is soon coming to an end, a question arises in my soul, “Did I cherish and see the beauty of each season with my children?”
Our seasons of life can help create a healthy sense of balance. Sometimes it’s a season to pause, and sometimes it’s a season to go. Embrace each season, learn from each season, and most importantly, don’t rush your season. God may have a special assignment for you during a winter season. However, in due time, your winter will turn into a beautiful spring.
