And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10

If you have not seen the recent movie I Can Only imagine, this is a MUST see!

A beautiful true story of pain and redemption. My heart ached for this little boy who was under the roof of an abusive father. How does a child who is absurdly mistreated and abandoned live with any self-worth and esteem to accomplish his life’s dreams?

This little boy suffered most of his childhood, but God’s amazing love and grace restored, strengthened, and established him in his adult years. His pain was not wasted, and neither is yours. It led him to accomplish his biggest dream…. become a singer and songwriter. He struggled to attain success until one moment when he realized, it was his story of pain that would be his inspiration to write and sing from his heart. He didn’t allow the hurtful words and actions of his father to destroy his dream and define him as “not good enough”.

Dreams are accomplished through our pain!

God has given me a dream, but like the singer, It is inhibited because often times I shelter my pain. My struggle is meant for someone else’s success. God uses us abundantly more as we become restored from our painful past and move into our purposeful future.

What dream is living inside of you? Our dreams are often a result from our suffering.  Have hope, your suffering is just for a little while. If your soul is willing, God promises to restore you and then establish you to live that dream!

Please share or comment your experience of living a dream which was born from your pain and suffering.
